School and Community Assistance Program
Transforming lives through education and community support since 2015
Background
SCAP began during the war in the North as a full sponsorship initiative supporting nearly 6,000 children. By 2015, as the conflict subsided, the number of beneficiaries decreased to about 700 children.
This shift led to a change in the program's name from the "School Sponsorship Program" to the "School and Community Assistance Program" to better reflect its evolved approach.
The program now provides partial assistance rather than full sponsorship. In this model, vulnerable children in ABC Schools continue to receive support from our generous sponsors, while their parents or guardians contribute a supplementary fee toward school expenses.
